《悲慘世界》，是法國音樂劇家根據雨果的同名小說《悲慘世界》而創作的一部音樂劇，故事以 1832 年巴黎共和黨人起義為背景，講述了主角尚萬強在多年前因為了家人沒有食物而去偷麵包遭判重刑，假釋後計劃重新做人，但卻遇上百般為難的苦境，及社會變遷下的艱辛歷程等。不論是音樂劇或幾年前改編上映的電影版，劇情與呈現都相當的蕩氣迴腸，其中不少的歌曲也猶有印象。

去年秋天有朋友寄給我他自己錄唱的《On My Own》，上週剛在台北小巨蛋舉辦的 2018 年 ISU 年四大洲花式滑冰錦標賽中也有多位選手選用原聲帶作品（如：《 I Dreamed A Dream 》），讓我又想起這部好看的劇目。

音樂劇裡的歌曲對我來說，僅止於欣賞，我真沒想過可以拿來挑戰唱唱看，主要在於唱的技巧性較高，當然也因為是外語歌，我的外語力欠佳，所以純欣賞就好。我記得在我收到朋友傳來的《On My Own》親自錄唱版我非常驚訝，沒有想到這位年輕人竟然會選唱這首歌，而且唱得還挺好，我忘記我前前後後到底聽過多少遍，最後我想～他都能夠，說不定我也行，不試試看嗎？所以，接著就進入讀歌詞、看 YouTube 影片、找 Karaoke 伴唱帶試唱＆錄音的模式，然後～意外發現這首歌我竟然可以，有幾個高音我竟然也上去了，有些不可思議！《On My Own》是一首哀傷的訴情歌，唱到最終自己都能感受到那股在喉間的震盪，聽著自己唱著到最終那個收尾時也總會感受那個共鳴，這回真是特別的經驗。

One more thing...

我的閱讀，總是不斷延伸、不斷挖掘，我聽歌時，也總習慣各種版本一路聽下去，在看著、聽著不同版本的《On My Own》時，我意外發現了一支很特別的合成版，原來是同一位演唱者在 22 年前與 22 年後演唱同一首曲目的合成（1995年 - Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert / 2017年 - West End Proms ），我才終於認清、也記住了這位了不起的歌手的名字，她是 Lea Salonga。她自 1995 年以來演唱這首作品，幾乎無人能出其右，這是她的歌。

1995 年的 Lea Salonga 演唱這首歌情緒激昂起伏完完全感受到劇中女孩的心聲，當她唱到了最後一小節的地方，每次聽，總還是令我感到情緒無比的沸騰；而 2017 年的 Lea Salonga 展現的則是另一款成熟沉穩，是不同的味道。

雖然一直不知也無知，但總算機緣到了現在弄清楚也算不遲啦！因為緣分真的到了！
